Brian Scott

Shark Energy Drink, the number two energy drink in the world, has joined forces with the two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck championship winning organization Xpress Motorsports. Shark Energy Drink is teaming with Albertsons Supermarkets in sponsoring NCTS rookie of the year candidate Brian Scott in the No. 16 Shark Energy Drink/Albertsons Supermarket Chevrolet Silverado for the entire 2008 NCTS campaign. The team will be called Shark Energy Racing by Xpress Motorsports.

We are thrilled that Shark Energy Drink and Albertsons Supermarkets have joined together to sponsor our NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series effort, said Joe Scott, owner of Xpress Motorsports. Our team has a lot to offer with an exciting young driver, Brian Scott, and a proven crew chief, Dave Fuge, who has won two championships. Every member of our team is excited about the opportunities that these sponsors will provide for us.

Getting Sharks name out in the US market is a huge deal for us, and we are grateful for the opportunity that Xpress Motorsports and Albertsons has given us, says Moe Boukadida, President of Shark USA.

Shark Energy Drink is a carbonated energy drink that provides stamina and fun. The worlds first original energy drink introduced in 1965, it is the only major energy drink that is created in its own production facilities. The production of Shark Energy Drink is controlled at the highest degree of quality assurance. Shark Energy Drink is sold in more than 70 countries worldwide and is just now expanding into the United States.

I cant wait to get behind the wheel of the Shark Energy Drink/Albertsons Supermarket Chevrolet at Daytona, said Brian Scott. We have been looking for sponsors that would be a really good match for our team and I think that Shark and Albertsons certainly fit that bill. They will be aggressive in all of their motorsports activation plans and that will allow me to get the chance to meet some really great company associates and NASCAR fans.

Xpress Motorsports won the NCTS championship in 2002 and in 2003 with Mike Bliss and Travis Kvapil handling the driving chores. The team has also has won races with Ron Hornaday Jr. and Jack Sprague behind the wheel.

Scott, a 20 year-old Boise, ID native, joined the team in late 2007 competing in seven NCTS races. Already an eight-year racing veteran, Scott posted several impressive runs including Top-15 finishes at Martinsville and Homestead-Miami.

Scott and the No. 16 Shark Energy Drink/Albertsons Supermarket Chevrolet Silverado will make their 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut on Friday, February 15, in the Daytona 250 at Daytona (FL) International Speedway. The event will be televised live on SPEED and broadcast worldwide on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128.
