Shark Energy Drink, the number two energy drink in the world, has joined forces with the two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck championship winning organization Xpress Motorsports. Shark Energy Drink is teaming with Albertsons Supermarkets in sponsoring NCTS rookie of the year candidate Brian Scott in the No. 16 Shark Energy Drink/Albertsons Supermarket Chevrolet Silverado for the entire 2008 NCTS campaign. The team will be called Shark Energy Racing by Xpress Motorsports.

Xpress Motorsports won the NCTS championship in 2002 and in 2003 with Mike Bliss and Travis Kvapil handling the driving chores. The team has also has won races with Ron Hornaday Jr. and Jack Sprague behind the wheel.

Scott, a 20 year-old Boise, ID native, joined the team in late 2007 competing in seven NCTS races. Already an eight-year racing veteran, Scott posted several impressive runs including Top-15 finishes at Martinsville and Homestead-Miami.

Scott and the No. 16 Shark Energy Drink/Albertsons Supermarket Chevrolet Silverado will make their 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut on Friday, February 15, in the Daytona 250 at Daytona (FL) International Speedway. The event will be televised live on SPEED and broadcast worldwide on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128.
