In reply to annomyous MX Dad........... We are sorry you feel the way that you do. Pleasant Valley has gone out of its way and over the top to support the sport here locally. In case you didn't know, the difference between Pleasant Valley and OMC is we run a business for profit. We are not a non-profit organization. With our weak support numbers last year through practices and races, it has left us no choice but to try to correct this problem. We are working closely with OMC this year, to cut back some of the races. What we have learned in '07 is the local tracks over saturated the motocross market with too many races. With the high cost of competing i.e. gas and expenses, this caused our practice and race numbers to fall drastically for all of the tracks. OMC agrees. Pleasant Valley would love nothing more than to be able to maintain a busy mx schedule, but we just don't have the numbers locally to support that kind of schedule. Thanks for your concern mx dad, and I appreciate your loyalty. We hope with the '08 season, it will bring back more unity in our sport locally. The problem we had in '07 is that all the tracks tried to have one to two races a month. This makes for 5-6 races a month with only 4 weekends. So riders have had to pick and choose. Do you see the problem or have any POSITIVE suggestions on how to correct it?
Hope 2008 is good to you guys! We've already lost a couple of tracks in the area in the past few years - we DON'T need to LOSE more! I'll be there to support us all as much as possible. Even though you did dog me out about last years riding. By the way - I finally got an MRI done and now they say I have a tear in the tendon of my rotator cuff.
Thank you for the support Ray. Didn't mean to dog you out either. Just would be nice to have our mx riders put positive suggestions. Sometimes we just think you guys feel like it is the complaint board. Mark and I love this sport and that is why we started Pleasant Valley, we want all of you to remember this. We want to see our sport grow and have UNITY LOCALLY. This is very important for the success of all the tracks.
This is going to be a big year for motocross at Pleasant Valley. We've got big things coming to Boise this year! You guys will hear about it soon, when we finish ironing out all our details. We have been working very hard to bring you an awesome motocross season with some BIG Races.
Sorry we missed ya at the fall series. Take it easy and get well..........our '08 season is coming up fast! Thanks again Ray for all your support. See ya soon.....................
