Information posted so far from Dan

February 23rd practice:

Practice that is scheduled for Feb 23rd is set up to allow us to make sure the track dimension/size will allow for 2+ groove racing.

We want a practice to make sure we get it right with the layout before we set up crash walls.

This is of course weather permitting, this will be a track test as much as a car/driver test on the track.

Spectators won't have a clear view of the track that day, just from a safe distance away. I wanted to clarify what this is about so that people will understand the purpose and reason for having a test so early in the year.

The second test will be in April after walls and pits have been placed. Wednesday night practices will then be held every two weeks in preperation for opener in May. That date still yet to be determined.

Hornet Racing:
Announced at the WIRA Meeting Tuesday night.

Any driver can race in the Hornet class at Pleasant Valley Raceway.

No one will be excluded, if Eddy McKean or Dave Minegar wants to come race on dirt, he can strap himself in a Hornet and run one.

We might even have a WIRA Hornet available for any current Late Model driver that would care to race it.

Warning: Hornets running too fast or obviously altered at PVR will probably be claimed and blown up at my discretion.
There is a claim rule for a reason.

PVR Races listed on website:
The race dates listed on PVR website are not WIRA races, they have to do with the 1/8 mile inside track.

WIRA races will be released at a later date.

I just wanted to make that clarification.

The two practice dates on Sundays are on the 1/4 mile, weather permitting.
Those are 2/23 and 4/13.
